Prove you were there — without ever touching the internet.
NCam is an Android camera for field inspectors, surveyors, and auditors. Every photo and video carries a burned-in watermark with the timestamp, GPS location, speed, heading, and site address — plus a scannable QR code with the same details, so the evidence holds up to scrutiny.
Built for evidence, not social media
Everything that lands on the photo or video is drawn by a single watermark engine, so the live preview, saved photo, and recorded video always match.
Timestamp & GPS
Date, time, and UTC offset alongside coordinates, accuracy, and altitude. Stale fixes are labeled with their age instead of being hidden.
Speed & heading
Compass direction and GPS-derived speed are stamped on every frame, useful for route and inspection logs.
Saved places
Keep a list of sites with addresses and coordinates. NCam auto-selects the nearest one and stamps the distance.
QR code proof
A ZXing-generated QR code carries the same details as machine-readable JSON, plus an optional Google Maps link.
Photo & video
Watermarks burn live into recorded video, not just stills, using the same renderer as the photo pipeline.
Tamper flags
Mock locations and clock problems are flagged directly on the watermark — never silently hidden, and capture is never blocked.
No internet. No accounts. No tracking.
NCam does not hold the INTERNET permission — it is technically unable to send anything, anywhere.
GPS comes straight from the device's location provider, never from Google Play Services or any network lookup.
Photos, videos, saved places, and settings stay in local storage. There is no server, sync, or backend of any kind.
No analytics SDKs, ad SDKs, or crash-reporting libraries are bundled. Crash data, if any, comes only from Google Play's Android vitals.
GPS runs only while the camera screen is open. Background location is never requested.
